Soy Lecithin

Soy lecithin (also know as phosphatidylcholine) has many health supporting benefits and also is one of the most economical
supplements you can give your body.

Among its benefits, it has been shown to improve memory, reduce LDL (bad cholesterol), and help improve HDL (good cholesterol).

Below you can find information on its many benefits (including scientific studies) and how you can utilize it for less than $0.20 a day.

What Is Lecithin and What Can It Do for You?

It is a fat-like substance which is found in egg yokes and organ meats. It is an important nutrient because it supports memory, good cholesterol, and cardiovascular health.

Memory

An ingredient in phosphatidylcholine called choline is used by your body to make acetylcholine. This nutrient is used for memory, learning, and allows nerves cells to send messages properly.

In a human study, scientists gave healthy adults either 2 tablespoons of lecithin a day or a placebo for 5 weeks. At the end of the study the supplemented group had significantly improved memory test scores over the placebo group.

Healthy Cholesterol & Cardiovascular System

It also contains a B-vitamin like substance call inositol. Inositol helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels.

In one study, people with high blood lipids received 10.5 grams of lecithin for 30 days. Their average total cholesterol and triglycerides decreased by an impressive one-third, the bad LDLs decreased by 38% and the good HDLs increased by 46%. The researchers concluded that "lecithin . . . should be administered for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis."

Additional Benefits

Along with supporting memory and heart health, it also supports healthy skin and hair growth.

Author's Note

We originally learned about this supplement through a chance meeting. One day a lady visited a family friend's store.

“She had amazing skin,” our friend said “like a porcelain doll.” A friendly conversation ensued and the lady mentioned her grandchildren. Our friend couldn't believe it, “she looked in her thirties” she said.

“You have beautiful skin,” our friend remarked “I can’t believe you’re a grandmother?” The lady said “I’ve been using it for as long as I can remember.”

We began using it a few months ago. Results? We can honestly say that our skin is much nicer and firmer. And our hair? Our beautician asked "What are you taking, your hair is so nice and growing so fast?"

These are only our observations, but at only $0.20 a day, it could be an inexpensive supplement for you to try yourself.

Getting the Best Price

You could buy it at your local health food store and it still would be economical.

On the other hand, you can buy it online at Nutritionexpress.com at 50% off of retail.

We've used Nutrition Express for over 10 years and have been very pleased with their service and prices. Also they have a flat-rate shipping fee of $6.
